Privacy and Confidentiality
Client Privacy and Confidentiality are strictly controlled by the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (there are 12 of these).
Belinda collects information relating to your identity, and health care conditions to provide holistic health care services.
Belinda will request that each individual engaged with her service provides consent to share information with your Individual Health Care Team/s to ensure that records and communications remains up to date and that any changes that maybe pertinent to your ongoing care are relayed to the rest of your health care team.
Belinda may request, occasionally, to utilise your information in a de-identified research project. Belinda will identify with each individual if their information may assist with her project and further consent will be requested.
Belinda will retrieve data logs related to engagement with her Website, or other means to inform her service provision. All of these analytics are de-identified and stored in a secure format.

Mandatory Reporting
Belinda as a Registered Health Professional is required by Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, Nursing and Midwifery Board, Victorian Department of Families, Fairness and Housing - Children, Youth and Families Act 2005, Victorian Government - Education Department to report any concerns associated with individuals that she is working with if there is a potential risk to infants, children, youth, disabled and elderly individuals that maybe indicative of abuse - psychological, physical, sexual, financial, interpersonal (domestic violence) and neglect, professional misconduct, communicable diseases.
Belinda endeavours to ensure that any concerns are discussed with the individual during the session, if appropriate and safe for the individual at that time, and prefers to work with the individual to achieve best possible outcomes. Belinda undertakes these responsibilities with significant awareness of cultural history, trauma and person-centred foci and the impacts of such reports not only to the individual, but also to their extended support network and community.

Safety - receive care that is safe and high quality care that meets National Standards and is provided in an environment that makes you feel safe
Respect - be treated as an individual, with dignity and respect. That your culture, identity, beliefs and choices are recognised and respected.
Partnership - Ensures that you can ask questions, be involved in an open and honest communication. Make decisions in conjunction with your healthcare provider to the extent that you can choose and are able to. That you able to include the people that you want in planning and decision-making.
Information - That you are provided with clear information about your condition, the possible benefits and risks of different tests and treatments, so you can give your informed consent. Receive information about services, waiting times and costs. That you are in receipt of assistance, when you need it, to help you to understand and use health information. Request access to your health information. Be told if something has gone wrong during your health care interaction, how it happened, the impact that it could affect you and what is being done to make care safe.
Privacy - Have your personal privacy respected. Have information about you and your health kept secure and confidential.
Give Feedback - Provide feedback or make a complaint without it affecting the way that you are treated. Have your concerns addressed in a transparent and timely way. Share your experience and participate to improve the quality of care and health services.
